We congratulate the winners of the Old Time Fashion Show held Oct. 13 at the Covered Wagon during the Cannelton Heritage Fest.

They are as follows: Jackson Joyal, 3-year-old son of Jermie and Lena Joyal of Cannelton, in the boys’ division; Kylie Anastasiades, 5-year-old daughter of Matt and Margaret Anastasiades of Cannelton, in the girls’ division; Sue Berry of Henderson, Ky., and her faithful friend, Jackson, in the women’s division, and Ken Gilkey of Newburgh in the men’s division.

The Perry County Chamber of Commerce and The Perry County News would like to thank the community for its great support of our Oct. 18 candidates forum.

The event was a great success and we want to thank all of the candidates who took part as well as the public for attending.

Thanks also to Tell City Knights of Columbus for allowing us use of their facility for the event. It’s another sign of the council’s long record of service to our community.

There are approximately 41 registered sex offenders in Perry County and we want you to know where they reside so that you avoid those houses when trick-or-treating.

Citizens are encouraged to check any addresses where they or their family spend time. The mapping and address feature found on the Web site pinpoints exactly where offenders live.
