Every 4-H fair needs a princess. Perry County’s 4-H fair will have multiple sets of royal helpers passing out ribbons. Rebecca Shearn was chosen Miss Perry County 4-H during a Friday evening pageant at the fairgrounds. She was crowned, above, by last year’s queen, Isabel Adams.
The pageant, along with Saturday’s demolition derby, were pre-fair events. The fair will resume Friday, July 10, with a noon opening ceremony and 7 p.m. tractor pull. Full days of activities are also planned Saturday through Monday, July 11-13. A full schedule will be in Monday’s issue.
