TELL CITY - Hoosier National Forest officials will take several steps to alert the public before they begin burning approximately 750 acres in the Mogan Ridge area of Perry County.
The prescribed burns will take place in coming weeks but the exact date hinges on weather and conditions.
"Once we know the date that we'll start the burn, we'll let the public know," Hoosier National Forest Management Officer Mike Davis said. The News will post information on its Web site, www. perrycountynews.com, and local fire departments and schools will be alerted.
