TELL CITY - A Perry County woman was arrested earlier this month on three counts of forgery, each a Class C felony.
According to Indiana State Police, Jessica Elaine James, 22, of 6776 Azalea Road, Tell City, forged three checks on a credit-card account. ISP Detective Christopher Cecil said the account's registered owner, Paul Dunn, notified police May 23 that someone had written the checks without his permission. The three checks totaled approximately $5,100.
James was arrested by Cecil and Trooper Troy Fischer at her home and was lodged in the Perry County Jail.
