PERRY COUNTY – A line of storms passing over the county delivered heavy rain and gusty winds early Monday morning, but did little damage, the county’s director of emergency management said.
The storm dropped anywhere from half an inch to well over an inch of rain across the county and the county was under a severe thunderstorm warning. A Tell City police officer reported pea-size hail. Wind dislodged a piece of metal from the former Glow Room tavern, EMA Director Steve Hauser said. At least two trampolines were tossed by the wind, one of which struck a fence.
