    Little Pigeon to host gospel sing Sept. 18
    LAMAR – The Little Pigeon Baptist Church, off Indiana 245 on W. CR 1200N near Lamar, will hold a gospel sing at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18.
    Crossties Bluegrass Gospel will be the special guests for the evening. Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

  • Gill - Cissna

    Mary Katherine (Katie) Gill and Seth Edmond Cissna of Indianapolis announce their engagement and ap-proaching marriage.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles and Sherry Gill of Bloomington. She is a graduate of Bloomington High School North and Kaplan College. She is a surgical dental assistant and is working on a bachelor’s degree in sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

  • Bielefeld, Pioneers shut out Marksmen

    BOONVILLE—Garrett Bielefeld scored three goals as Boonville beat Tell City 7-0 in boys soccer Wednesday.


    Bielefeld also had an assist to go with his hat trick.
    Blake Cobb added two goals and an assist for the Pioneers.
    Tell City, 0-3, will host Gibson Southern tonight at 6 at William Tell Elementary.

    ROCKPORT—C.J. Fentress shot a season-best 48 for medalist honors as Tell City edged South Spencer 232-234 in girls golf Wednesday.

  • Orleans knocks off Cannelton

    CANNELTON—No one made more than four kills for Cannelton in a 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 volleyball loss to Orleans Thursday.


    Sarah Powers led Cannelton with four kills, 10 digs and two ace serves.
    Taylor Lawalin added two kills, four assists and four blocks.
    Allicyn Garrett and Leah Mascolo each made five digs for the Bulldogs.
    Orleans won the junior varsity match 25-10, 25-8. Individual statistics for Cannelton were not available.
    Cannelton, 0-3 in varsity and JV play, will compete in a tourney at Orleans Saturday.

    LINCOLN CITY—Heritage Hills used its pass rush, quickness and depth to overwhelm Tell City 50-0 in PAC football Friday.

  • Rangers’ passing beats Perry Central

    LEOPOLD—Big pass plays helped Forest Park pass Perry Central  21-7 in football Friday night.
