  • Kermit and Lena Wittman

    Kermit and Lena Wittman of Evanston will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.
    Mr. Wittman and the former Lena Coultas were married Dec. 4, 1960, at Lilly Dale Church of Christ in Gatchel.
    They are the parents of three children, Robert Wittman, Joyce Beard and John Wittman. The Wittmans also have three grandchildren, Michelle Wilson, Brittany Wilson and Jacob Beard.
    Mr. Wittman retired from Fischer’s Furniture & Appliance Store in 1999 after 42 years.
    Mrs. Wittman worked at various restaurants in Tell City.

    James and Nadine Stein of Lamar will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 5, 2010, with a family dinner.
    James Stein and the former Nadine Schriefer were married Dec. 5, 1945, at the St John’s Lutheran Parsonage.
    They are the parents of three sons, Jan, Dean and Lenn. They have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Mr. and Mrs. Stein are retired from Stein’s Garage Inc. in Lamar.
