DERBY - A Leopold man was injured Tuesday morning when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a tractor on Indiana 66 near Derby.
James Houston Smith, 59, of 16287 Old Indiana 37, suffered several broken ribs, a damaged spleen and other internal injuries. He was taken to Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Information on his condition was not available Friday afternoon.
According to Perry County Sheriff's Deputy Kenny Blinzinger, Smith was northbound on Indiana 66 and attempted to pass a tractor, which was carrying a hay tedder, that was also northbound.
