MARENGO—Perry Central’s football team is known for a lot of power running up the middle but proved Friday it can work with whatever the defense gives it.
The Commodores used a lot of passing and outside runnig early to build a lead en route to crushing Crawford County 48-12.
Dee Jay Shaw threw 14-yard passes to Dane Ransom and D.J. Newton on the Commodores’ first drive.
The Commodores threw on four of eight plays on that possession, including once on first down.
T.J. Hall also ran a sweep for 15 yards on that drive.
