ACADEMY ROAD – Sharon Turner knew something wasn’t right. Betty Sue Snyder wasn’t standing where she can be found each morning – at the end of her Academy Road lane waiting for the mail.
Turner is a mail carrier for the route that includes Snyder, 75, and her son, Marty. Over the past year, she’s struck up a friendship with the woman, who suffered a stroke several years ago. Betty Sue can’t speak well but when her hearing aids are in place, she understands just about everything.
