TELL CITY – A second person was arrested Thursday in a sheriff’s department investigation into copper thefts near Waupaca Foundry.
According to Sheriff’s Deputy Roger Smith, Randall Riley, 37, of Owensboro, Ky., faces a theft charge.
David W. Crochet, 30, of Cloverport, Ky., was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly being caught red-handed removing copper wire.
Thefts of copper have become more numerous in recent years as the price of the metal increased.
Chief Deputy Daymion Marsh also took part in the investigation.
