WEST LAFAYETTE - The art of marketing commodity grains can often be challenging, but a video series to be offered in a number of regional locations will help eliminate some of the mystery for farm women.

Unraveling the Mystery of Commodity Marketing for Farm Women, sponsored by the Women in Agriculture team of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, is being offered for two hours every Thursday beginning Jan. 17 and ending Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. EST.

TELL CITY - The Perry County Chamber of Commerce is seeking events to include in its 2008 Perry County Community Calendar. Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills was packed Sunday evening as congregation members of all ages presented this year's Christmas program. Two plays, "You Are Special" and "Every Knee Shall Bow," shared the spirit of Christmas. Zach Myler, above, played the role of Punchinello. His character discovered how God creates people with individual gifts and talents, and that it's OK to be different. Steve Schwindel and Kim Underhill, left, starred in the second play as Joseph and Mary. Christmas plays have been a tradition at Bethel Christian for several years.

TELL CITY - Armed with a bus full of books and, more importantly, a full tank of gas, Kay Seibert travels around the county each week, delivering stories to the young and old.

But in just a few days her run as director of the Perry County Bookmobile will come to an end. Seibert is retiring Jan. 10 and is spending her remaining days on the job on a farewell tour of the county.
