Scifres to help set up two dialysis centers

TELL CITY - Every week, Travis Scifres helps kidney patients get rid of harmful toxins through dialysis. This job, he said, is very rewarding and soon he'll have the opportunity to help others on a much grander scale.

In April he will travel to the Indian cities of Jodhpur and Phalodi to set up dialysis clinics as part of A Bridge of Life - DaVita Medical Mission.

LEOPOLD - A Perry County couple whose school buses have transported Perry Central students for more than three decades hopes to have contracts for three routes extended for another year or two to help them recoup their investment, they told school leaders Monday.

Allen and Barbara Goffinet appeared before Monday's meeting of the school trustees and asked to have the three bus contracts they have had for several years extended beyond their expiration date this spring.
