• Lippelt earns master’s degree at Mount Mary

    LEOPOLD – Robyn (Rennie) Lippelt, originally from Leopold, graduated May 19 from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wis., with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She works and lives in Indianapolis.

    Lippelt is a 2005 graduate of Perry Central High School and a 2009 graduate of Purdue University.
    She is the daughter of Randy and Teresa Rennie of Leopold.

  • Tell City students recognized at annual honors banquet

    TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High School hosted its annual honor program May 14. There were 111 students who were recognized at the program, which was held in the school auditorium.

  • Clayton earns Bellarmine dean’s list spot

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – James “Greg” Clayton of Tell City was named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Bellarmine University.
    Placement on this list requires a semester average of 3.5 or above, a level achieved by only a fraction of Bellarmine students according to a press release. Clayton’s name, along with those of the other dean’s list students, has been displayed on the College of Arts and Sciences bulletin board in Alumni Hall and on the Bellarmine University Web site.

  • Kast selected as IU cheerleader

    BLOOMINGTON – Indiana University’s cheerleading program has selected Lindsay Kast as a member of its Crimson Cheer Squad for the 2012-13 season.

    According to Julie Horine, head coach, the talent level during tryouts was outstanding. The cheer program is coming off of its most successful year ever, winning the 2012 UCA National Championship for the All-Girls Division and finishing No. 4 in Small Co-Ed.

  • Robinson earns diploma from Olympia High

    ORLANDO – Caleb Robinson, son of former resident Jean (Hoffman) Robinson and former Rockport resident Charlie Robinson, graduated summa cum laude from Olympia High School in Orlando June 5.

    Robinson was a four-year member of the drum line and was a member of the varsity water polo team. He was also a member of Mu Alpha Theta math honor society. He will attend the University of Central Florida in the fall, majoring in hospitality management and has received a Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholarship, the top award level for the state of Florida.

  • Malone named to IU dean’s list

    BLOOMINGTON – Aaron Ross Malone has been named to the dean’s list at Indiana University for the spring 2012 semester.
    Students must have a 3.7 grade-point average or above on a 4.0 point scale in order to be eligible for the dean’s list.

    He is the son of Paul and Cindy Malone and a graduate of Tell City High School.

  • Kanneberg completes military academy

    WEST POINT, N.Y. – Cadet Neil Kanneberg, son of Chris and Keith Kanneberg of Cape Girardeau, Mo., graduated from the U.S. Military Academy May 26. He is also the grandson of William and Joan Conner, and Pat Kanneberg of Tell City and the late Ken Kanneberg.

    Kanneberg graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2008. While at West Point, he majored in Chinese and economics. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the infantry branch and will report to Fort Benning, Ga., for his first assignment.

  • Berger named valedictorian at New Prairie

    NEW CARLISLE – Teresa Berger graduated as valedictorian of New Prairie High School in New Carlisle June 3.

    She is the daughter of Frank and Elisa Berger of New Carlisle and the granddaughter of Paul and Mary Louise Berger of Tell City, and Roland and Agnes Sikorski of Hobart.

  • Bryant graduates Ball State

    MUNCIE – Katelyn Nicole Bryant of Tell City graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University-Miller College of Business Honors College May 5. She earn-ed a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    She has accepted a position at Ernst and Young in Louisville, Ky.
    Bryant is a 2008 graduate of Tell City High School. She is the daughter of Larry and Terry Bryant and the granddaughter of Robert and Elva Dickman.
