    Cronin named to Manchester dean’s list
    TELL CITY – An area student, Dana Cronin of Tell City, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester 2011 at Manchester College in North Manchester.
    Cronin is a psychology and sociology major. She is a graduate of Perry Central High School.
    To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and have completed at least 12 semester hours.

    Ivy Tech announces dean’s list students
    EVANSVILLE – Ivy Tech Community College - Southwest recognizes the following Perry County students for making the dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester.
    To be on the dean’s list, Ivy Tech students must achieve a minimum 3.50 grade-point average in non-academic skills advancement courses with no D’s or F’s, must have earned six or more credits during the semester, and at least 12 non-academic skills advancement credits during their course of study.

  • Smith graduates from Ball State University

    MUNCIE – Lauren N. Smith of Jasper graduated from Ball State University May 7 with a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and a minor in food management.

  • Tots Lots visits local horse farm

    Tots Lots Preschool recently visited the Nancy Ress Horse Farm. While at the barn, the children learned about the equipment used to ride and care for horses.

  • Local students graduate, make dean’s list at OCU

    OAKLAND CITY – Saffron Ragan of Troy was recently named to the Oakland City University dean’s list.
    She is a freshman majoring in business administration and is expected to graduate in May 2012. She has also received an excellence award in fine arts.
    Nancy J. Lasher of Branchville was also named to the university’s dean’s list and graduated May 7 with an associate’s degree in business administration.

  • Harpenau graduates from Kentucky Wesleyan College

    OWENSBORO, Ky. – Emily Harpenau graduated May 14 with bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and special education, K-12 from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro.

    The commencement ceremony was held at Jones Gymnasium in the Health and Recreation Center.
    Harpenau was named to the dean’s list all but one semester during her four years of study.
    To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must maintain a 3.5 grade-point average or higher. She was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic team for three years.

  • Braunecker selected as People to People Student Ambassador

    TELL CITY – Loren Braunecker, a student at Tell City Junior-Senior High School, will travel to Europe later this month after being accepted as a People to People student ambassador.
