TELL CITY – Kristopher Kast of Tell City has been named to the dean’s list in the University of Notre Dame’s College of Science for outstanding scholarship during the fall 2010 semester.

TELL CITY – In January, students of Brandi Aubrey’s advanced composition class at Tell City Junior-Senior High School wrote essays for an essay contest sponsored by the Tell City Optimist Club each year.

The idea of the essay is to help students develop their personal views on a certain topic. The topic of the essay this year was “How My Education is the Key to a Successful Future.”

TCJSHS sports extravaganza, pep rally set for March 30
TELL CITY – The spring All Sports Extravaganza for Tell City Junior-Senior High School will be held March 30 starting at 6:30 p.m.
This is an opportunity for the community and school to demonstrate school spirit and community pride. The evening will begin with a parade, which will start at the corner of Washington and Main streets. The parade will continue to Jefferson Street and then east to 15th Street.

EVANSVILLE – Spencer Sandage was named to the 2010 fall semester dean’s list at the University of Southern Indiana.

To make the dean’s list, students must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5. Sandage is applying to the USI nursing program, where he will continue his occupational therapy studies.
He is a 2008 graduate of Tell City High School and the son of Scot and Gina Sand-age of Tell City and the brother of Jordan and Hunter Sandage.
