The Tell City High School Renaissance Leadership Class selected Chris Hollinden as the recent Raise the Lid Award winner. He was nominated and chosen for being an outstanding assistant principal and coach for the track and cross-country teams.
 

William Tell Elementary hosted a career week beginning April 18. The first grade classes were fortunate to have five presenters during the week. Presenters were Trooper Mark Lemkuhler with his dog Brody, Sheriff Deputy Damion Marsh, Tell City Officers Bryce Hammack and Greg Linne, Tell City Junior-Senior High School science teacher Jay Johnson, former Tell City Mayor Walter Hagedorn, Registered Nurse Angela Malone and lawyer Walter Hagedorn Jr. The presenters discussed with the students the education required for their career along with other aspects of their jobs’ duties.

PERRY COUNTY – Jason Paul Dauby, son of Paul and Janet Dauby, will receive his doctorate in systems engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology Saturday.

He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Evansville in May 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and then his master’s degree in engineering management at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in May 2005.

TELL CITY – Jacob Braunecker was elected president of the Mu Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
