Adult-ed classes begin Oct. 24 at Ivy Tech
TELL CITY – Thinking about your future? What about getting that GED or heading to college or a new job? Adult education classes will begin soon at Ivy Tech Community College in Tell City.
Classes will run from Oct. 24 to Dec. 15. Classes will improve students’ math and English skills, add GEDs to students’ resumes, help them prepare for post-secondary training and increase their wage-earning potential.

The Lights-On after school program at Perry Central will offer hunter’s education courses during the month of October. 

Pictured facilitating the course is Joe Lackey, a retired conservation officer. Lackey helps promote safe hunting procedures and knowledge to students and adults. There are currently 30 participants.

CANNELTON – Sigma Alpha Lambda, a National Leadership and Honors Organization at Indiana University, announced Mariah C. Nix of Cannelton recently became a member of the organization.

Sigma Alpha Lambda is an organization dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment.
Nix is the daughter of Barry and Diane Nix of rural Cannelton. She is a 2010 graduate of Tell City High School.
