PERRY COUNTY – The Nativity Circle of the Daughters of Isabella will award a scholarship to a high-school graduate from any high school this year.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of a child or grandchild of a member of the local circle.
The criteria for the award is based on financial need, academic, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Applications will be available at the group’s April 2 meeting or by calling Mary Seibert at 547-4847. The deadline to submit them is April 29.

ITHACA, N.Y. – Adam Zimmer, a resident of Tell City and a senior music major, was named to the dean’s list in Ithaca College’s School of Music for the fall 2012 semester.

During February, the children of Lincoln Hills Development Corp. North Perry County Head Start Center enjoyed activities that dealt with dental health. Rachel Metzger, a dental associate with Butler Family Dentistry, visited with information about the importance of caring for teeth.
