  • Bryant graduates Ball State

    MUNCIE – Katelyn Nicole Bryant of Tell City graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University-Miller College of Business Honors College May 5. She earn-ed a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    She has accepted a position at Ernst and Young in Louisville, Ky.
    Bryant is a 2008 graduate of Tell City High School. She is the daughter of Larry and Terry Bryant and the granddaughter of Robert and Elva Dickman.

  • Meunier graduates from Eastern High School

    LOUISVLLE, Ky. – Lauren Lynn Meunier, daughter of former Tell City residents Matt and Tracy (Peter) Meunier, graduated from Eastern High School May 31.The ceremony was held in Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

    Attending were her parents, brother Austin and her friend, Codi Edelen, all of Louisville. Also attending were her grandparents Albert “Bud” and Paula Peter and Art and Judy Meunier, all of Tell City.
    Family and friends also attended a celebration at the family residence June 1.

  • TCHS hosts annual honor program

    TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High School hosted its annual honor program May 14. There were 111 students who were recognized at the program, which was held in the school auditorium.

    Principal Brad Ramsey welcomed students, parents and invited guests. Following the program, light refreshments were served in the Red Apple Inn.

  • Hawa graduates from Indiana University

    BLOOMINGTON – Kathryn Hawa, granddaughter of Gloria Wahl of Cannelton and daughter of Randa Wahl Hawa and A. Michael Hawa, graduated May 5 from Indiana University – Bloomington with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology.

    Hawa has been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and is an IU Founders Scholar. While at IU, she participated in genetic research work in the biology department and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity.
    She will attend medical school in Iowa.
     

  • Huthsteiner completes basic training

    SAN ANTONIO – After spending eight and a half weeks at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Neil David Huthsteiner of Tell City graduated from basic military training May 4.

    Huthsteiner also participated in the Airmen’s Run and Coin ceremony May 3. He is now stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss., attending tech school. He is studying cyber security. After tech school, Huthsteiner will be transferred to his permanent base, which is unknown at this time.

  • Brady, Mullen discuss Lincoln

    Cambron Brady and Aaron Mullen, fifth-graders at William Tell Elementary School, present their research project on the life of Abraham Lincoln to Emily Hildenbrand’s fourth-grade class. The presentation covered details about Lincoln from his birth to present day memorials in his honor.

  • Robbins earns Ivy Tech degree

    EVANSVILLE – Bradley J. Robbins graduated cum laude from Ivy Tech Community College May 4 at the Ford Center in Evansville.
    He earned a degree from the School of Industrial Technology with an associate of applied science degree and a technical certificate. He has accepted a position at Waupaca as an electrician.
    Robbins resides in Tell City and is the son of Jeanne L. Robbins and Dave Robbins, both of Tell City. He is the grandson of the late Georgia Lee and Jack Howland and Mary Ann and Harold Robbins.

    CANNELTON – Cannelton High School announces the following students were named to the school’s honor roll for the second term, second grading period:

  • Schenk graduates with honors from Mater Dei High School

    EVANSVILLE – Kelsey Schenk, 18, daughter of former Tell City resident Jane Hoffman Schenk and Evansville resident Scott Schenk, graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville May 19 during a ceremony held at the Centre.

    Schenk was a three-year member of the varsity swim team where she was seventh in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in backstroke. She was also a member of pep club, service club, prom committee and Friends of Rachel. Schenk graduated with academic honors.
