CANNELTON – Charlena (Rudolph) Williams of Cannelton was one of five women chosen to represent Kentucky at the 2012 National Education Association Mid-Atlantic Women’s and Minority Leadership Conference in Arlington, Va., Jan. 25 – Jan. 29.

EVANSVILLE – The University of Evansville has announced that Tell City native Nathan Ramsey, a graduate of Tell City High School, will spend the spring 2012 semester studying in Nice, France.
Ramsey, who is majoring in civil engineering, will study at the Euro-American Institute in a program run by CEA Global Education.

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Loren Weatherholt graduated from Western Hills High School in Frankfort with honors in 2011.

She is currently attending Eastern Kentucky University on a presidential scholarship. Weatherholt is a part of the nursing program and will graduate in 2015. She also made the first semester’s dean’s list with a grade-point average of 3.76.
Weatherholt is the daughter of Crystal Byrd-Rust and Aaron Weatherholt. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Mary Ann Weatherholt of Tell City and the late Fletcher and Caroline Byrd.

TELL CITY – Open Centers will offer the free program “Incredible Years” will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning this week at the Tell City Community Building, 16th and Franklin streets in Tell City.
Incredible Years is open to any preschool age child, ages 3 to 6, and their parents or caregivers. There will be arts and crafts, story telling, socialization and parenting tips. The program is sponsored by Safe Schools – Healthy Students. For more information, contact Wendi Rich at 547-9727.
