  • Perry Central Jr.-Sr. High School honor roll for second grading period released

    LEOPOLD – Perry Central Jr.-Sr. High School has released the honor roll for the second grading period.

  • Financial aid night Jan. 27

    TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High School will host a Financial Aid Night on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. in the school library. Seniors and their parents or guardians are encouraged to attend. A financial aid representative will be there to go over the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form to help those filing better understand the financial aid application process.

  • School looking for potters, ceramics fans

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Junior-Senior High School art department is looking for local residents who make pottery or ceramics to take part in an upcoming project.

    The school’s first Empty Bowls program will help raise money for local food shelters and will be held April 9. Glazed bowls are sought for the project. Junior-high school art teacher Stacy Marion and high school art teacher Shelly Goodrich received a grant of $1,650 through the Community Foundation of Perry County to make the event possible.

    CANNELTON – The students at Cannelton Elementary School  who earned various honor roll distinctions during the second grading period of the first term and for the first term as a whole are listed in three categories: distinguished honor roll, regular honor roll and honorable mention.

     

    Term 1, Grading Period 2

    Grade 1 distinguished honor roll: Summer DuPont, Isaac Fuqua, Nora Lawson, Addyson Little, Julie Rico, Dodge Roesch and Ayla Snyder.

  • Students named to Brescia University Dean’s List

    OWENSBORO, Ky. –  The following students from Brescia University were named to the fall 2015 Dean’s List for completing 12 credit hours with a 3.5 grade-point average:

    Samantha Steckler of Leopold, a sophomore majoring in business with an emphasis in finance and economics.

    Kara Dilger of rural Ferdinand, a freshman majoring in business.

    Hallie Popham of Cloverport, Ky., a junior majoring in medical technology.

    Jessica Burk of Hawesville, Ky., a junior majoring in social work.

    TELL CITY – Jenelle Nicole Clausen, a 2009 National Merit Scholarship and Schergens Foundation Scholarship recipient, and the daughter of Darryl and Shelly Clausen, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Evansville. She earned Summa Cum Laude honors.
