    TELL CITY – Professional hairstylist Brandon Ubelhor is now accepting clients at the Cutting Edge salon in Tell City.

    His services include cuts, color, waxing and video production hair and make-up.
    He is a former colorist for Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppler and was a makeup artist for Red-Ridge Entertainment in Nashville.
    Ubelhor’s hours at the salon are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    PERRY COUNTY – The Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District has received a Clean Water Indiana Grant to be used for a cost-sharing program for pasture and land used for hay production.

    The purpose of this cost-share program is to provide technical and financial assistance to Perry County landowners for pasture and hay land planting this fall.

  • Nord, Gunn appointed to medical staff

    JASPER – Neurologist Kristi Mahaffey Nord, M.D. was recently appointed to the medical staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. 

    Nord studied biomedical engineering as an undergraduate at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Penn.
    She completed her internship and residency in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

    JASPER – Pediatrician Donald “Duck” McIntire, M.D. was recently appointed to the medical staff at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. 

    McIntire received his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He has worked in the Indianapolis area since 1992.

  • Pund earns master elite technician status

    JASPER – Mike Pund, a Uebelhor & Sons Service technician, is one of 30 service technicians in the United States who has achieved the status of master elite certified technician for Hino Trucks.
    This certification requires a combination of four weeks of Hino training in Novi, Mich., and a master certification in medium-heavy duty ASE truck certification. Pund is also master certified in automobile and light duty truck ASE certified.
