• Hospital partnering with school district to begin wellness clinic

    TELL CITY – Perry County Memorial Hospital and Tri-State Community Clinics are partnering with the Tell City-Troy Township School Corp. to develop a wellness clinic.  The wellness clinic will provide a proactive approach to health for school staff and their dependents.

    Some of the services offered will be urgent care access, health coaching for staff and dependents and  wellness assessments.

  • Jasper Engines announces record-setting share value

    JASPER – Associate-owner shareholders in the Jasper Engines & Transmissions Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) were treated to another record-setting share value April 25.  A total of  $9,963,676 in new shares was distributed to 2,316 eligible associate-owners.

    Jasper Engines share value has experienced rocket-ship growth since the inception of its ESOP in 2009 at $2.30 per share.

    EVANSVILLE – Trista J. Lutgring has been promoted to the position of managing editor at Tucker Publishing Group.

    She joined Tucker Publishing Group in 2015 and previously served as senior writer since July 2016. Prior to her affiliation with TPG, Lutgring worked as a sales representative and feature writer at the Perry County News in Tell City. In 2012, she was awarded second place in Best Sports Feature category of the Hoosier State Press Association Better Newspaper Contest.

    TELL CITY – Dallas, Texas-based TNW Logistic Services LLC formally announced its partnership with the Perry County Port Authority, which will expand economic development opportunities in the Tell City River Port area. The News first announced the prospective deal in February, which will help assess target properties for future development.

  • Tri-state physical therapist receives certification in dry-needling technique

    TELL CITY – Brandi Labhart, physical therapist and clinical director for advanced rehabilitation Inc. received her functional dry needling certification from KinetaCore Physical Therapy Education in September 2016.

    Functional dry needling is the insertion of fine filament needles into neuromuscular junctions, or trigger points, which stimulates the muscle  brings pain relief and significantly improved function to athletes and patients who have been suffering for years.

    EVANSVILLE – Mark Heitkemper has joined Pollock Printing in Nashville, Tennessee as their national print sales representative. He will serve the tri-state printing needs starting April 1st. Heitkemper has been with Abbey Press Printing in St. Meinrad, Indiana for 24 years. Their closing allows that printing knowledge and experience to transfer to Pollock Printing.
