    TELL CITY - Steven D. Whitaker, 57, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

    He was born April 30, 1950, in Crawfordsville to the late Robert S. Whitaker and Thelma Morgan Whitaker.

  • Kenneth Kramer, 81 (added Nov. 23)

    TELL CITY - Kenneth R. Kramer, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

    He was born in Perry County April 14, 1926, to the late William and Martha (Turner) Kramer. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Joe and Ralph Kramer and two sisters, Magdeline Souder and Virginia Martin.

    A U.S. Air Force veteran, he retired from Tell City Chair Co. in 1986 after 31 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially squirrel hunting.

  • Larry Goffinet, 69 (added Nov. 21)

    TELL CITY - Larry E. "Bones" Goffinet, 69, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, Ky.

    He was born Oct. 13, 1938, to the late Frank G. Jr. and Edna Snyder Goffinet. Also preceding him in death were an infant sister, Laura Kay Goffinet and two brothers, Donald and Billy Frank Goffinet.

    TELL CITY - Robert W. Amos, 82, died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

    He was born Feb. 3, 1925, in Tell City to the late John W. and Sally (Kessner) Amos. Also preceding him in death were a brother, Walter "Boob" Amos and three sisters, Helen Miller, Ruth Hinton, and Joyce Mulzer.

  • Ronald Benge, 55 (added Nov. 20)

    SANTA CLAUS - Ronald P. Benge, 55, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

    He was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Frank and Ruth (Martin) Benge. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Roger and Richard Benge.

    He married Patricia Sorrell May 27, 1972, and worked as a sales service tech for Albany International. An avid golfer and fisherman, he enjoyed watching Louisiana State University football. He was also a Mason.

  • Lucettie Powell, 83 (added Nov. 20)

    TELL CITY - Minnie Lucettie "Lucy" Powell, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

    She was born April 22, 1924, in Perry County to the late John and Minnie Schroeder Snider. She was united in marriage Sept. 23, 1950, to Leo Powell, who preceded her in death March 14, 1966. Also preceding her in death were her sisters Frieda Esarey and Lala Thomas and brothers, Earl, Hartford and Morton Raymond Snider.

  • Carol Trigg, 83

    TELL CITY - Carol A. Trigg, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

    She was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Wausau, Wis., daughter of the late Arthur and Johannah (Eggebrecht) Wiren. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Gerald Wiren, and a sister, Dawn Schepp.

    She was united in marriage to Richard O. Trigg Sr. Feb. 14, 1948, in Wausau. A homemaker, she was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wausau and enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting.

  • Paul Fenn, 87

    TELL CITY - Paul J. Fenn, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his home in Tell City.

    He was born in Tell City Dec. 1, 1919, son of the late Christian and Frieda (Engelbrecht) Fenn. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bert Fenn; a sister, Jane Imel; his daughter-in-law, Donna Fenn, and a son-in-law, Ben Hilton.

    A 1938 graduate of Tell City High School, he graduated from Purdue University in 1942 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was united in marriage in Tell City Sept. 22, 1942, to the former Marjorie Bruner, who survives.

  • Rhoda Wilgus, 98

    TELL CITY - Rhoda Adele Wilgus, 98, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

    She was born Sept. 26, 1909, in Perry County to the late Thomas and Nancy Pearl Anson Kellems. She married William Orville Wilgus, who preceded her in death, June 6, 1925. Also preceding her in death were a son, Estel Wilgus in 1997; a grandson, John Tableman II; four brothers, Thomas, Prentiss and Erastus Kellems and two sisters, Agnes Harrison and Belle Kellems.

  • Irene Hubert, 79

    TELL CITY - Irene Hubert, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills in Tell City.

    She was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Perry County to the late Michael and Clara (Bockhold) Hauser. She married Preston G. Hubert Jan. 28, 1947, at St. Mark Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 1998.
