    TELL CITY - Ernest Darrel Boling, 69, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

    He was born in Hawesville, Ky., July 30, 1938, to the late Chester and Telia (Jarboe) Boling. Also preceding in death was a brother, Kenneth Boling.

    He married Kathy Waterbury Feb. 14, 1981 and worked in maintance for Willamette Industries. A member of First United Methodist Church, he enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and woodworking.

    CANNELTON - John W. Young Jr., 60, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at his home in Cannelton.

    He was born July 17, 1947, in Perry County to Nettie (Davis) Young and the late John W. Young Sr.

    A 1965 graduate of Cannelton High School, John married Mary K. McFall March 14, 1969 in Shawneetown, Ill. He also graduated from Owensboro Technical College. He and his wife owned and operated Young's Used Cars and Wrecker Service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards and was an amateur ham radio operator.

    TELL CITY - Helen Rogier, 90, died at 6:02 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

    She was born Dec. 22, 1917 in Leopold to the late Walter and Celine (Pauporte) Goffinet. She married Lawrence Rogier June 17, 1940, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton. He died in 2004. Also preceding her in death were a son, Kenneth Rogier; a great granddaughter, Kayla Durcholz; a sister, Lucille Huber and a brother, Leonard "Peck" Goffinet.

    DALE - Helen Mae (Hemmer) Heady died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

    She was born April 9, 1924, in Holland. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Heady; a sister, Dorothy Springstun and a brother, Paul Hemmer.

    Surviving are a daughter, Carol Heady Rusher of Owensboro, Ky.; a son, Ronald Heady of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Violet Kissling; two brothers, Charles and Alfred Hemmer; five grandchildren, Eileen and Jessica Heady, April Russell, Anna Bennett and Chris Varner; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    GRANDVIEW - Rex Schwindel, 48, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

    He was born Aug. 15, 1959, in Mariah Hill to Eugene and Christina (Faulkenberg) Schwindel.

    A former Mulzer Crushed Stone employee, he married Sheila Woolbright Dec. 3, 1994, in Bowling Green, Ky.

    Due to incorrect information provided to The News, the age and birth date of the late James Charles Grimes was incorrect in his obituary published Feb. 7. His correct birth date is Jan. 24, 1928 and he was 80 years old.

    LAMAR - Tamara Rose Crowe, 40, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Midwest Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill.

    She was born Sept. 2, 1967, in Huntingburg to Phyllis (Simon) White and the late Earl Williams. Also preceding her in death was a grandfather, Earl Simon.

    She married Robert Crowe June 28, 1991, in Spencer County and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family.

    TELL CITY - Viola Deom, 89, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center in Evansville.

    She was born Oct. 14, 1918, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Schneider) Harpenau in Perry County. She married Dennis F. Deom March 5, 1946. He died May 7, 1992. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Dolores Harpenau and six brothers, Vincent, Robert, Charles, Adrian, Morris and Vernon Harpenau.

    A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, she was a seamstress who enjoyed quilting and vegetable and flower gardening.
