Aiming for the Ohio River’s monster carp

BY Vince Luecke

Jeremiah Coultas is part big-game sportsman and part monster hunter. But he’ll never have to trek to some exotic forest or African savanna for a prize catch. The Ohio River is full of trophies. Make that monsters. Monster Asian carp.

It’s a Thursday night and before setting out from Grandview’s boat ramp, Coultas and his bowfishing partner for the night, Mitchell Terry, extract a pledge from the reporter accompanying them not to give up their exact hunting area.
