A weekend open house at the Shubael Little Pioneer Village near Rocky Point offered glimpses into Perry County’s past. Restored cabins were open for hours, including one where Dot Kessner, top, served as hostess. Cabins offered pastries, stews and desserts, cooked over open hearths, and stories of pioneer life.
