PERRY COUNTY – Former Cannelton City Schools Superintendent Marion “Al” Chapman, accused of stealing more than $200,000 from school coffers, said Friday he has no money to hire an attorney to represent him.
In a video hearing before Judge Lucy Goffinet, Chapman was appointed a pauper attorney after saying he had less than $250 in his savings and checking accounts.
