With another wintry mix of ice and snow expected to cover the region Wednesday night, Tell City Street Commissioner Jeff Everly keeps tabs on the latest weather trends using an Intellicast radar. In Perry County, early morning rains turned to sleet by 3 p.m. en route to a snowfall forecasters predicted would leave the area with accumulations from 5 to 8 inches. Heavy snowfalls have ebbed river levels up and prompted local flooding alerts. According to the National Weather Service, the Ohio River is creeping closer to flood stage but is expected to crest this weekend.
