  • Mike and Natalie Johnson of Troy and Matt and Gala Leibering of Cannelton announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Kailey Johnson and Bradley Leibering.

    The ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at Twin Lakes Cedar Cabins in Derby. A reception will follow at the Tell City Depot.

    The bride-to-be  is a graduate of Heritage Hills High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She currently works as a Spanish teacher.

  • Ashley Chapman and Stuart Cassidy of Tell City announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The double-ring ceremony will take place Oct. 21 at the Schergens Center with a reception to follow.

    Formal invitations have been sent.

    Ashley is the daughter of Diane Chapman-Hoffman and Travis Hoffman of Ferdinand and the late Jeff Chapman. She is a 2004 graduate of Tell City High School and earned a degree in criminal justice from Daymar College. She is currently employed at Heart to Heart Hospice.

  • FERDINAND – The University of Southern Indiana Chamber Choir will perform at Monastery Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m. Eastern time, for the eighth annual Mechtilde of Hackeborn Sacred Music Series.

  • Jessica Fenn of Tell City and Jeffrey Allen of Rochester, Minn., were united in marriage on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in a 4 p.m. outdoor ceremony at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, Minn. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Doug Fenn, uncle and godfather of the bride. The reception followed in the Great Hall of Silverwood Park before the couple honeymooned in Belize.

  • Women’s hike set for Oct. 28


    TELL CITY – BE Ministry, will take a day trip to God’s Country, north of Bristow at 10 a.m. on Oct. 28.  Join the group for light hiking while viewing the Stations of the Cross and be renewed by your faith. 

  • Tiffany Sabelhaus and John Nugent Jr. were married in 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony May 20, 2017, in Cannelton. The wedding was officiated by Karen A. Werner.

    The bride was given in marriage by her parents, David and Diana Sabelhaus of Bristow. Matron of honor was Shelby Aldridge and best man was Derek Little.

    A reception followed at Schergens Center in Tell City, before the couple honeymooned in Honolulu, Hawaii.

  • Andyn Rowe and Brian Arnold announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The future bride is the daughter of Jason and Rachael Rowe of Tell City. She is a graduate of Tell City High School and graduated in 2016 from Western Kentucky University. She is a registered nurse at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

  • Scott and Alyson Williams of Magnet and Scott and Kim Franchville of Derby announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Alyssa Williams and Tyler Franchville.

    The couple will be united in marriage in a 2 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at St. Augustine Church in Leopold. A reception will follow at the Bristow Community Center.

  • ST. MEINRAD – Saint Meinrad Archabbey honored 39 co-workers and 40 retirees during the annual Service Recognition Banquet Thursday evening.

    Archabbot Kurt Stasiak OSB offered appreciation on behalf of the monastic community. “Tonight we make a special effort to count our blessings, and we thank you, our co-workers, for being a blessing to us. In many ways, you have benefited us; you have done Saint Meinrad good.”

    Janet Ann Werne of St. Henry was honored for 50 years of service. She received a framed print of the Archabbey Church.
