  • Megan and Adam Younger of Greenville announce the birth of their son, Theodore Davis Younger. Theodore was born June 13, 2016, at 11:40 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    The mother is the former Megan Newton. Theodore was welcomed home by big brother, Elijah, 3.

    Maternal grandparents are Rick and Lisa Newton of Tell City.

    Paternal grandparents are Robert Younger of Indianapolis and Mary Schiel of Ann Arbor, Mich.

  • St. Boniface

    FULDA – St. Boniface will host its annual summer picnic Sunday, Aug. 7, beginning at 10 a.m. with the famous soup and food court, country store, family fun center and games of chance for adults, including bingo, poker table and paddle wheel. Fried chicken and roast beef dinners will be available in the Parish Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Live music by Sweetwater Band will begin at 11:30 a.m.

  • EVANSVILLE – Trista J. Lutgring has been promoted to the position of senior writer at Tucker Publishing Group.

    She previously served as staff writer since March 2015. Prior to her affiliation with Tucker Publishing Group, Lutgring worked as a sales representative and feature writer at the Perry County News in Tell City, Indiana. In 2012, she was awarded second place in Best Sports Feature category of the Hoosier State Press Association Better Newspaper Contest.

  • Marine Cpt. Jacob Pagragan and his wife, Emily, of Lexington, Ky., announce the birth of their daughter, Grace Ellis Pagragan, born on June 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. Grace was welcomed home by her brothers, James, 6, Finn, 5 and Liam, 4, and her sister Keeley, 2.

    The mother is the former Emily Henrickson of Lunenburg, Mass. Maternal grandparents are Will and Jackie Henrickson of New London, Conn. Paternal grandparents are William and Jennifer Rodgers Pagragan of Richland.

  • Alicia Doogs and Nathan Wheatley of Tell City announce the birth of their daughter, Coraline Rose Wheatley. She was delivered May 9, 2016, at 3:53 p.m. at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Newburgh. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Karen and Rodney Doogs of Cannelton.

    Paternal grandparent is Lynetta Schwartz of Navarre, Fla. Great-grandparents include Merle Doogs, Jeanetta Sims and Ronald Schwartz.

  • Ellen Dillman, daughter of Janice and Anthony Dillman of Evansville, and Alex Rogier, son of Sue and Kevin Rogier of Branchville, were married in a ceremony March 5, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Evansville.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

  • Janet and Jack Mulder of Tell City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 3. They were married June 3, 1956, at Mt. Lebanon Church in Sharpsville.

    They have four children, Anita Baker of Tell City, Melvin Mulder of San Antonio, Texas, Susan Mulder of Evansville and Angela Rust of Tell City. They have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

  • TELL CITY – Chandler Lacy, son of Dan and Jill Lacy, was selected by the Perry County American Legion Post 213 to attend the 79th annual session of Hoosier Boys State. Chandler spent June 12-17 at Trine University in Angola.

    Lacy joined approximately 550 other young men for the government program designed to educate the leaders of tomorrow in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

    Chandler will be a senior at Tell City Junior-Senior High School in the fall.
