  • Alicia Doogs and Nathan Wheatley of Tell City announce the birth of their daughter, Coraline Rose Wheatley. She was delivered May 9, 2016, at 3:53 p.m. at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Newburgh. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Karen and Rodney Doogs of Cannelton.

    Paternal grandparent is Lynetta Schwartz of Navarre, Fla. Great-grandparents include Merle Doogs, Jeanetta Sims and Ronald Schwartz.

  • Ellen Dillman, daughter of Janice and Anthony Dillman of Evansville, and Alex Rogier, son of Sue and Kevin Rogier of Branchville, were married in a ceremony March 5, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Evansville.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

  • Janet and Jack Mulder of Tell City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 3. They were married June 3, 1956, at Mt. Lebanon Church in Sharpsville.

    They have four children, Anita Baker of Tell City, Melvin Mulder of San Antonio, Texas, Susan Mulder of Evansville and Angela Rust of Tell City. They have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

  • TELL CITY – Chandler Lacy, son of Dan and Jill Lacy, was selected by the Perry County American Legion Post 213 to attend the 79th annual session of Hoosier Boys State. Chandler spent June 12-17 at Trine University in Angola.

    Lacy joined approximately 550 other young men for the government program designed to educate the leaders of tomorrow in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

    Chandler will be a senior at Tell City Junior-Senior High School in the fall.

    In early 2013, I was sitting in a meeting with other pastors watching a leadership video. The video had nothing to do with family or children, but in the middle of it, God spoke to me. “Leave the church or you will lose your daughter and go home tonight and register to win the HGTV Smart Home.”

  • Linda and Donald Hubert will celebrate their 50th anniversary July 4. They were married July 4, 1966, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold.

    They are the parents of Chris (Lora), Vince (Jamie) and Nathan (Brittany Howell). They have six grandchildren, Hillary, Ryan, Jaxson and Weston Hubert, Kyra Roberts and Peyton Howell.

    Donald retired from union carpentry in 2004 and Linda retired from PSC in St. Meinrad in 2009.

  • Taylor Dykes and Andy Stout of Tobinsport announce the birth of their son, Christopher Luke Allen Stout on June 15, 2016. He was delivered at 7:43 a.m. at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He weighed seven pounds and three ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Angie and David Dykes of Cannelton.

    Paternal grandparents are Mark Stout and the late Laura Mcentire of Tobinsport.

    Great-grandparents are Sandra Sanders of Cannelton, Paula Holmes of Kentucky and Allen Booth of North Carolina.

  • Courtney and Michael Lehmkuhler of Evansville announce the birth of their son, Leighton Michael Lehmkuhler on May 3, 2016, at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Evansville. He was delivered at 12:06 p.m. and weighed 8 pounds and 12 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Carleen Harris and the late Michael Koonce of Evansville. Paternal grandparents are Martha and Bill Lehmkuhler of Tell City.

    Leighton was welcomed home by sister, Kennedy, 15.

    The mother is the former Courtney Koonce.

  • Lana and Terry Poole of Cannelton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 2. They were married July 2, 1966, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. 

    The couple have three children, Brett of Pass-a-Grille, Fla., Julie of Hawesville, Ky. and Jason of Cannelton; eight grandchildren, Kelsey Hanks, Caitlin and Lauren Coyle, Brittney, Courtney, Breanna and Tasha Poole and Raegann Masterson; and three great-grandchildren, Owen Esarey, Luci and Camden Hanks.
