  • Nicole Rogier of Rockport and Sean Risse of Tell City announce their engagement and upcoming wedding on June 11, 2016.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Linda and Denny Rogier of Rockport. The future groom is the son of Pam Hagedorn and Larry Risse of Tell City.

    The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City, with J.T. Hills officiating.

    The bride-to-be is employed at Perry County Courthouse.

  • NEW BOSTON – St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold its annual chicken and ham buffet Saturday, June 11, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

    In addition to barbecued and fried chicken and ham, there will be a variety of vegetables including German potato salad and dressing.

    Homemade desserts and freshly baked bread are included with the meal. Take-out dinners are also available.

    The Country Store will have crafts, baked goods, quilts, fresh produce, plants and numerous other items.

  • Danielle and Brad Hall of Tell City announce the birth of their son, Wyatt Bradley Hall on April 26, 2016. He was born in Owensboro, Ky., and weighed 8 pounds and 9 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    Wyatt was welcomed home by brother, Wayde, 3.

    Maternal grandparents are Jeanne and Allen Harth of Evanston. Paternal grandparents are Gwen and Kevin Hall of Derby.

    Great-grandparents are Connie and Darryl Taylor of Lilly Dale, Pat Chenault of Tell City and Omie Sprinkle of Tell City.

    The mother is the former Danielle Harth. 

  • Miranda and Adam Krieg of Tell City announce the birth of their son, August Maximilian Krieg on March 14, 2016. He was born at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Newburgh and weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and was 18 ¾ inches long.

    August was welcomed home by siblings, Callista, 6, Emmett, 5 and Lenora, 2.

    The mother is the former Miranda Shipman.

    Maternal grandparents are Glenda and Jim Shipman of Dubois. Paternal grandparents are Ginger and the late David Krieg of Tell City.

  • ST. MEINRAD – Graduates of Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology were awarded master’s degrees on May 14. Graduates accepted their diplomas from the Rev. Justin DuVall OSB, archabbot of Saint Meinrad Archabbey and chairman of the school’s Board of Trustees.

    The graduation address was given by the Rev. Thomas J. Rodi, archbishop of the Archdiocese of Mobile.

  • FULDA – St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda will hold the annual Celebration of the Feast Day event Saturday, June 11. Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Rib-eye dinners will be served at 5 p.m. at a cost of $15. Live music provided by Eighty Six will begin at 6 p.m.

    There will be a beer garden and a food court, with breaded tenderloins, brauts, cheeseburgers and potato haystacks.

    Proceeds will benefit the ongoing care of Historic St. Boniface.

    This event is sponsored by the St. Boniface Men’s Society.

  • Whisper Rupp and Hunter Cronin of Tell City announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The outside ceremony will take place May 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. on a family farm in Leavenworth. An outside reception is to follow in the same location.

    Rupp is the daughter of Amanda Greenwell of Tobinsport. Cronin is the son of John and Kathy Cronin of Tell City.

    The bride-to-be is a student at Perry Central High School, where she will graduate May 29. She will attend Vincennes University to become a physical therapist assistant.

  • Cherie Zellers and Jared Etienne of Tell City announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The ceremony will take place May 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Blue Heron Winery. A reception will follow at Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast.

    Zellers is the daughter of Mark and Cheryl Zellers of Tell City. Etienne is the son of Rebecca and the late Donnie Etienne.

    The bride-to-be is employed as a nurse manager at Oakwood Health Campus.

    The future groom is employed as a land surveyor at WB Koester.

    The couple intend to honeymoon in St. Lucia.
