  • TELL CITY Silly Safari’s Jingle John will visit the Tell City-Perry County Public Library at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 to present a Christmas show.
    Sami the Reindeer Herder, a show sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will feature animals of the North Pole, including a reindeer.
    Silly Safari shows are informative as well as silly said library staff. Those attending are asked to arrive early to get a seat.
    Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • TROY – Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class will be available beginning Jan. 18. The course will be a 13-week program designed to teach individuals and families how to take control of their finances and become debt free. Every possible spending and saving situation will be addressed in the program.

  • Denny and Lesa Lasher of Bristow announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Crystal Lasher, to Eric Eubank, son of Randy and Donna Eubank of Paoli.
    The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Perry Central High School and a 2003 graduate of Oakland City University with a degree in elementary education.
    She is employed at Throop Elementary School as a reading recovery teacher.
    Mr. Eubank is a 2000 graduate of Paoli High School and a 2005 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in wildlife biology.

  • Joni Diane Barrett and James Edward Stafford of Spurgeon announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
    The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Sharon Barrett of Coe.
    She is employed by National Office Furniture as a sales operations manager.
    Mr. Stafford is the son of Donald and Veronica Stafford of Topeka, Kan.
    He works at National Office Furniture as a product engineering specialist team leader.
    The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Jan. 1, 2011, at the North Friendship General Baptist Church in Lynnville.

  • Alicia Klueh and David Conner were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony held July 3, 2010, at The Ranch in French Lick.
    The bride is the daughter of Brenda and Mike Lange and the late Mike Klueh. Mr. Conner is the son of Laurinda VanConey and Miller VanConey.
    Brother Mike Hawkins officiated the double-ring ceremony.
    Michelle Kieper of Ferdinand was chosen as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Deel of Birdseye and Brittany Henke of Ferdinand, sisters of the bride, Amy Reed of Tell City and Lisa Havener of Cannelton.

  • Chestnut Grove to host Jack Compton
    TELL CITY – Chestnut Grove Church in Tell City will host Evangelist Jack Compton (Gifts of the Spirit) of Riley, Miss.
    The community is invited to attend any of the four dates Compton will speak, Dec. 9, 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
