  • PERRY COUNTY – Tell City American Legion Post 213 Honor Guard provides military services for departed soldiers and veterans as well as color guards for patriotic events. On Memorial Day, they will visit local cemeteries to honor those who have served in the armed forces.
    Anyone interested in joining the Post 213 honor guard should call the post home at 547-8201.

  • Tom and Irene Damin of Tell City will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, May 24, 2012.

    Mr. Damin married the former Irene Early May 24, 1952, at the old St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

  • Rebecca Crystal Scherer and Bernard Adam Weber announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Bruce and Patricia Scherer of Evanston. She is a 2011 graduate of Heritage Hills High School and is employed with Jasper Rubber Products.
    Mr. Weber is the son of Bernard and Sherrie Weber of Chrisney. He is a 2010 graduate of Heritage Hills High School and is employed with Jasper Engine and Transmission.
    The wedding is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Lincoln Boyhood Chapel in Lincoln City.

  • Dana Genet and Edward Schmidt of Cincinnati, Ohio, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

  • Lester and Roxanne Perryman of Tell City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lesley Jo Perryman, to Joseph T. Brown, son of Jerry and Susie Brown of Lyons.

    The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Tell City High School and is currently studying at South University. She is employed with Glenburns Home as a certified nursing assistant.

  • Parker Eli Radigan
    Roger and Jamie Radigan of Tennyson announce the birth of their son, Parker Eli Radigan, at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital for Women and Children.
    The infant weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and was 22 inches long.
    Mrs. Radigan is the former Jamie Houle of Grandview. Parker has three brothers, Blake, 16, Ethan, 11 and Clay, 8.
    Maternal grandparents are Connie Houle of Grandview and Duane Houle of Troy. Paternal grandparents are Sandy Koch of Evansville and Roger Radigan of Wadesville.

  • Molly Foerster of Evanston and Jason Oliver of Jacksonville, Ill., were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Saturday, May 12, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Evanston.

    The bride is the daughter of Darryl and Diana Foerster of Evanston. Mr. Oliver is the son of Wayne and Sheila Oliver of Elizabethton, Tenn.
    The bride was given in marriage by her father in the double-ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. Michael Mueller.

  • LEOPOLD – Perry Central FFA livestock and dairy judging teams competed in a district contest April 26. In the dairy judging competition, the team of Melissa Hagedorn, Cathryn Peter and Luke Hilgenhold placed ninth.
    Individually, Luke Hilgenhold placed first in the competition, winning district. Hilgenhold will also compete at state competition Saturday at Purdue.

  • Julie Ann Stangle and Matthew Owen Toothman, both of Vincennes, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Judy Badger of Monroe City and Daniel Stangle of Vincennes. She is a South Knox High School graduate and earned her bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences in 2010 from Indiana University. She earned her master’s degree in communication disorders and sciences from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 2012.

  • Tony and Anice Bishop of Glasgow, Ky., announce the engagement and the approaching marriage of their daughter, Alyssa Rene, to Zachary Alan Simpson, son of Gregory and Roxanne Simpson of Tell City.

    The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Barren County High School in Glasgow and a 2011 graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist at Briarwood Dental in Bowling Green, Ky.
