  • American Legion Auxiliary Unit 213 installed officers for 2011-12 recently.   • Robert and Karen Mosby of Evanston, Kathy Hawk of Seymour and Tim Strange of Paoli announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Kaitlin Elizabeth Mosby of Evanston and Adam Strange of Seymour.

    The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Heritage Hills High School and a 2011 graduate of University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
    Mr. Strange is a 2004 graduate of Orleans High School and attended the University of Southern Indiana. He works at the Wal-Mart distribution center in Seymour.

  • Jennifer Graham and Justin Jones of Indianapolis announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Tammy Graham of Grandview and Mike and Regina Denu of Siberia.
    She is a graduate of Evansville North High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Southern Indiana.
    She works as a toxicology technician for Advanced Testing Laboratories at Eli Lilly and Co.

  • The Perry Central High School Class of 1971 gathered for their 40th class reunion, held Saturday, June 25 at Bill & Dave’s Smokin Pit in Tell City.

    TELL CITY – The Snider family will hold a reunion at noon Sunday at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Tell City.

    TELL CITY – The Tell City High School Class of 1961 will hold its 50th class reunion Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Tell City.
    Social hours starts at 6 p.m. with a class picture taken at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:15 p.m.

  • Trinity UCC ice cream social Aug. 28
    FULDA – Trinity United Church of Christ in Fulda will host its annual ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.
    Sloppy Joes, chips and a variety of desserts will be served along with homemade ice cream.

  • The St. Paul Boy Scouts Troop 192 went to Camp Mack Morris in Tennessee during the week of June 5. The boys earned important badges to help them advance in the troop. Those attending were, in front from the left, Scott Pannett, Jeff Scott and Andy Pannett. Second row: Josh Scott, Caleb Oleson, Eric Schaad, Michael Poehlein, Tony Miller, Sebastian Sturgeon, Ben Scott and Paul Miller. Third row: Keith Holman, James Payne, Jacob Hammack, Kyle Fuchs, Evan Hall, Clint Waninger and Scott Pannett. Not present but attending for part of the week were Jacob Miller and his father, Mark Miller.

  • TELL CITY – The Lincoln Hills Community Choir will begin fall rehearsals Tuesday. The choir will meet at Evangelical United Church of Christ, 802 10th St., Tell City, every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
    All singers in the community are welcome, and they should enter the church through the Tots Lots door on 10th St.

  • Hubert and Alice Kleaving of rural Tell City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Aug. 6, 2011 with a family cookout.

    Mr. Kleaving and the former Alice Rohl were married Aug. 5, 1961 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Croix.
    They are the parents of four children, Diana Hedinger (Charlie), Randy Kleaving (Dawn), Darlene Davis (Tim) and Rick Kleaving (Sarah).
    The Kleavings have nine grandchildren, Jared and Clint Hedinger, Blake and Adam Kleaving, Lauren, Emily and Claire Davis and Tyler and Tayton Kleaving.

  • Molly Kemper and Ross Hendershot of Grandview announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Gary and Cindy Kemper of St. Anthony. She is a graduate of Ivy Tech with an associate’s degree in medical assisting. She works as a medical assistant for Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
