  • TELL CITY – The Perry County Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting for the Tractor Supply at 11 a.m. Saturday to celebrate the store’s grand opening.  Tractor Supply is located at 375 Old Highway Road (next to Sonic) in Tell City.
    Andy Pettit is the store manager. The store offers a full range of farm, ranch and home-improvement items. 

  • T.J. and Steve Ball of Tell City announce the birth of their daughter, Gabreella Justine Ball, Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at The Women’s Hospital at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh.
    The infant weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 181⁄2 inches.
    Mrs. Ball is the former T.J. Marsili. Gabreella has one sister, Breeana Marguerite Noland, 9.
    Grandparents are Frank and Rita Marsili of Evanston, Kathy Ball of Cannelton and the late D. El. Marsili.
    Great-grandparents are Harold and Linda Ball.

  • Shaun and Emily Lieb of Chesapeake, Va., announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Elizabeth, Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake.
    The infant weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 191⁄2 inches long. Mrs. Lieb is the former Emily Huber. Caroline has two siblings, Audrey, 6, and Thomas, 3. 
    Grandparents are Tom and Jane Huber of Cannelton, Concetta Lieb of Lakewood, N.J., and Drew Lieb of Wall Township, N.J. Great-grandfather is Albert Geraci of Lakewood.

  • Megan Yaggi and Chris Evans were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at United Methodist Church in Cannelton.

  • FORT SILL, Okla. – Ryan LaGrange, 19, of Tell City has completed 10 weeks of Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Sill. This follows completion of basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., last summer between his junior and senior years of high school.

    LaGrange graduated with the military occupational specialty of field artillery surveyor-meteorological crew members. They are responsible for monitoring weather conditions and patterns so artillery units can fire and launch missiles accurately.

  • SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Air Force Airman Neil D. Huthsteiner graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Yoho, formerly of Cannelton, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 6, 2012. A celebration in honor of the anniversary was held at the home of their son, Ron, in Woodbridge, Va., where the couple now resides.
