    FULDA – The Trinity United Church of Christ, one mile south of Fulda, will have an ice cream social and homecoming from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

    There will be a light dinner, homemade ice cream and live music.

  • Olivia Renae Hurst and Bradley Dale Lautner of Tell City, announce the birth of a daughter, Winter Marie Jean Lautner.

    Winter was born Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care in Jasper, weighing 7 pounds and measuring 20 inches.

    Grandparents are Billie and Jimmy Hargis, of Dale, Joe Hurst and Lori Lyons of Dale, Mary Ann Lautner of Ferdinand and Dale Lautner of Tell City.

  • Lee and Deanna Moseby of Evansville recently celebrated their silver wedding anniversary.

    Mr. Moseby married the former Deanna Heeke Aug. 4, 1990, at Tell City Church of Christ.

    They are the parents of two children, Breanne  (John) Benton of Chicago and Bryce Moseby, who lives in Washington state. Their daughter and her husband also recently celebrated their one-year anniversary and the two generations of couples celebrated together with a family gathering that included cake and punch. Lee and Deanna are also planning a Caribbean cruise.

  • TELL CITY – Mark and Michelle Blunk of Tell City announce with great pride the graduation of the daughter, Breanna Blunk, from Vincennes’s University Jasper Campus. Breanna earned her associate degree in nursing on May 9.

    While enrolled at VUJC, Breanna also received her associate degree in science.

    Breanna is employed at Perry County Memorial Hospital as a medical-surgical nurse.

    She is the granddaughter of Mary and the late Garry Blunk, Dennis Hosler and Mabel Askins.

  • Rockport – Out of 61,000 farms in the state of Indiana, one farm in Spencer stood out from the crowd last week for the work its farmers do to protect Indiana’s natural resources.

    Rich and Becky Boehm was among 48 farmers who received the River-Friendly Farmer award from the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts Aug. 19 at the Indiana State Fair.

  • Brian and Valerie Cole of Troy announce the birth of a daughter, Scarlette Eve. She was delivered July 22, 2015, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

    The newborn weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20½ inches long. She was welcomed home by her two siblings, Zaiden, 10, and Lucy, 4. Another sibling, Maddix, is deceased.

    Grandparents are Marty and Carol Vinson of Tell City and Peggy and Frankie Cole of Hawesville, Ky.,

  • Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ammon of Tell City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Maribeth Lee Ammon, to Logan Michael Flamion, also of Tell City.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Tell City Junior-Senior High School and attended Vincennes University. She is employed by Adaptive Nursing in Jasper.

    The future groom is the son of Brent and Katrina Flamion of Tell City. He is a graduate of Tell City Junior-Senior High School and is employed by Waupaca Foundry. 

  • Jannelle Desiré Howell and Richard Kyle James of Tell City announce their upcoming wedding.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Vickie Howell of Tell City and the late James Howell.

    The future groom is the son of Adwina James and Richard L. James, both of Tell City.

    Miss Howell is a graduate of Perry Central High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. She earned a Bachelor in Science degree in early childhood development. She is employed with Perry Child Care.

  • Editor’s Note: A mission journey in June led members of First Baptist Church in Tell City and others to the Central American nation of Nicaragua. Making the mission odyssey were Pastor Dan and Brandy Hopkins, Dennis and Lisa Bolin, Lacey Leibering, Travis Scifres, Barbara Mills, Janie Barnett, Katelyn Gutwein, Mark Sorrels, Harris Long and Carlane Palmer.
