  • Eric Arnold and Kaylee Henderson announce the birth of their son, Brock Thomas Arnold.

    Brock was born April 25, 2017, at the Women’s Hospital in Evansville. Brock weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was 21 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Christina Edge of Santa Claus and Ron Henderson of Hardinsburg, Ky. Great-grandparents are Earl Gentry and Carol Morgan of New Boston and Ronald and Sandra Henderson of Troy, Mo. Great-great-grandparents are Jean Pierrard of Tell City and Frank and Elnora Conder of Hardinsburg, Ky.

  • TELL CITY – Tell City First Church of the Nazarene will host a weekend vacation Bible school, “Egypt – Joseph’s Journey from prison to palace,” from Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23, at 17 Lausanne Ct. in Tell City.                  

  • TELL CITY – Evangelical United Church of Christ will present its second Summer Musical Showcase at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12.DUring the event, EUCC will host a collection of local youth and young adult talent in the church sanctuary.  A few of the featured performers will be Luke Hilgenhold, Garrett Jarboe and Abby and Alex Lawalin.

    The Showcase is free but the community will have the opportunity to donate to the Weekend Backpack food program while attending.

  • Hubert and Eulalae Hagedorn of Tell City celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a Mass of thanksgiving June 11, at St. Mark Church. The Rev. Dennis Duvelius presided. They were married June 11, 1947.

    Their children are Ed (Brenda) Hagedorn of Lamar, Rosetta (James) Westmoreland of Salisburg, N.C., Don (Phyllis) Hagedorn of Evansville, Linus (Shirley) Hagedorn of Celestine, Rebecca (Paul) Hubert of Leopold, Rita (Francis) Etienne of Magnet and Marolyn (Dean) Flamion of Leopold.

    The couple also have 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

  • Dolph Jr. and Faye Foster celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 7, 2017.

    Mr. Foster married the former Faye Sandage of Bristow during a private ceremony June 7, 1952, in Corydon.

  • Kayla York and Steven Irwin Jr., both of Tell City, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dora York of Tell City and Ronald York of Hawesville, Ky. The future groom is the son of Karen and Steve Irwin of Tell City.

    York is the granddaughter of the late Marvin “Whitey” and Roberta “Birdie” Powell and the late Fayette and Nellie York.

    Irwin is the grandson of the late Ben and Elsie McManaway and Norma and the late Avondis Diech.

  • TELL CITY – GC3 will be held Friday and Saturday, July 28-29, at Community Christian Church in Tell City beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Saturday. This will be the event’s second year in Tell City.

    The event offers an evening full of fun including food, games, the contemporary Christian band, Building Nations, guest speakers, a T-shirt and a CD.

    This year’s conference is called “Priceless.”  The event is free to all girls who will be going into grades 6 to 12.

  • Alexa and Ryan Zuelly of Hawesville, Ky., announce the birth of their daughter, Ember Claire Zuelly, on June 13, 2017. She was delivered at Deaconess Hospital in Newburgh. She weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce and was 20.5 inches long. She was welcomed home by her brother, Caslin Emory Zuelly, 2.

    Maternal grandparents are Roger and Pam McCaslin of Hawesville, Ky. Paternal grandparents are Steve and Patricia Seibert of Tobinsport.

    The mother is the former Alexa McCaslin.

  • Eric and Myra Harris of Cannelton announce the birth of their daughter,  Evelyn Lucille Elizabeth Harris, on May 19, 2017, at 9:11 a.m. at Deaconess Women’s Hospital in Newburgh. At birth, Evelyn weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Rene’ and Sam Trinkel of Tell City and Tim and Pat Wheatley of Hawesville, Ky.

    Paternal grandparents are Jerry and Lisa Harris of Cannelton.
