Karl and Kay Houghland of Tell City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Katie Elizabeth, to Michael Jess West Jr., son of Mark and Melody Sherwood of Loogootee.

Leah Marie Ubelhor and Derrek Wayne Rasche announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The future bride is the daughter of Doug and Julie Ubelhor of Bristow. Mr. Rasche is the son of Lester and Ruth Ann Rasche of Ferdinand.
The couple will be wed in a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 8, 2012, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand.
A reception will follow at the Ferdinand Community Center.
The future bride is a graduate of Perry Central High School and Ivy Tech community College. She is employed at Meyer Distributing.

David and Gail Edwards of Leopold announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kyla Faye Edwards, to Isaac Edward Schroeder, son of Duane and Tracy Schroeder of Tell City.

The bride-elect graduated from Perry Central High School in 2009 and from Western Kentucky University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. She currently works at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City as a rehab tech.
