The bride-elect is the daughter of Thomas Simpson of Tell City and the late Brenda Simpson. She is a 1993 graduate of Cannelton High School and will graduate from Western Kentucky University in December. She works as the youth ministries coordinator for Tell City First United Methodist Church.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Kevin and Suzy Nugent of Tell City and the granddaughter of Frank and Ruth Bolin of Cannelton, Leroy and Janice Nugent of Tell City and Ron and Mary-Etta Sheldon of Tobinsport. She is a graduate of 2008 Tell City High School and works at ATTC Manufacturing.
