  • Mertens-Cole

    Mr. and Mrs. Randall Cole of Tell City announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son, Alex Lee Cole, to Kelsey Nicole Mertens of St. Charles, Mo.

    The couple will exchange vows during a Nov. 11, 2017, ceremony at Graham Memorial Chapel on the Washington University campus in St. Louis. A reception will follow in St. Charles.

    Formal invitations will be sent.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mertens of St. Charles  and is employed as a real estate agent for Re-Max Vision.

    The parents of Erica Wilson and Austin Reed, all of Tell City, announce the couple’s engagement and upcoming wedding. Vows will be exchanged during a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony Oct. 14, 2017, at Blue Heron Winery. A reception will follow at the Tell City American Legion.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Lisa Wilson and a graduate of Tell City Junior-Senior High School. She is employed as a home health aide with Adaptive Nursing and Health Care.

    Jenifer Lynn Forler and Jeremiah John Foertsch of Evanston announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    Jenifer is the daughter of Larry and Mary Forler of St. Meinrad. She is a 2014 graduate of Heritage Hills High School and graduated from Harrison College with a degree in medical office assisting. She is currently employed at Best Chairs.

  • Elrhanjaoui – Rhodes

    Sarah Marie Elrhanjaoui of Greenfield, Ohio, and Jordan Lee Rhodes of Tell City announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    The bride is the daughter of Chris and Michelle Houck and Ali Elrhanjaoui. She is a graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. She recently earned her Masters of Education and teaches fifth-grade reading and language at J. S. Aucion in St. Mary Parish, La.  She is also the head swim coach for Centerville High School.

    Heather Hubert of Bristow and Jacob Sims of Tell City announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

    The bride is the daughter of Leonard and Melinda Hubert of Bristow. She is a graduate of Perry Central High School and Vincennes University Jasper Campus. Heather is currently a nurse for Wexford Health at Branchville Correctional Facility.

    The groom is the son of Nicole Sims of Tell City. He is a graduate of Perry Central High School and is employed at Best Home Furnishings.

    David and Julie Hakes of Tell City announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their son, Matthew David Hakes, to Tosha Michelle Gowan, daughter of Kent and Rhonda Backus of Salem.

    The future bride is a 2007 graduate of Salem High School and received a degree from Ivy Tech Community College in 2013. She is employed as an emergency medical dispatcher at American Medical Response in Evansville.

    Saundra Kvant and Todd Shearn, both of Derby, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding Sept. 23, 2017, at Twin Lakes Cedar Cabins.

    They will be married in a 2 p.m. ceremony, with a reception Schergen’s Center at 5 p.m.

    The bride’s parents are Jennifer Peter and Jody Leimgruber. The groom’s parents are Rick and Mary Kay Shearn.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Perry Central High School and Ivy Tech Community College. She is employed with Branchville Correctional Facility as a secretary.

    The parents of Karen Damin and Jeff Simpson, both of Tell City, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tom and Janet Damin of Tell City. The future groom is the son of Bill and Connie Simpson of Tell City.

    Karen is a 2010 graduate of Tell City High School and 2014 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. She is employed as an expanded functions dental assistant at Santa Claus Family Dentistry.

    Jeff is a 1997 graduate of Tell City High School and a 1999 graduate of Vincennes University.

    Crystal Peter of Tell City and Garrett Miller of Magnet announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The ceremony is set to be held Saturday July 22, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Tell City.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Ginger Peter of Tell City. The future groom is the son of Bruce and Elaine Miller of Magnet.

    Karey is a 1994 graduate of Tell City High School. She has been employed as a purchasing analyst at MasterBrand Cabinets in Huntingburg for 16 years.
