    LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will host euchre games Saturday at the clubhouse.
    Doors will open at 6 p.m. with games beginning at 7.
    Refreshments will be served.

  • PCMH to offer CPR, first aid classes Oct. 19, 20 in Tell City

    TELL CITY – The Heartsaver Automated External Defibrillator-cardiopulmonary resuscitation class will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Registration deadline is Oct. 18.
    The class will cover rescue breathing, relief of choking, AED and CPR for adults, children and infants.
    The Heartsaver First Aid class will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Registration deadline is Oct. 19. Topics to be covered are first aid basics, care for medical, injury and environmental emergencies.

    CHS 1966
    CANNELTON – The Cannelton High School Class of 1966 will hold its 45th class reunion at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Bill & Dave’s Smokin Pit in Tell City.

  • Dinner, dance benefit for Evelyn Hays

    DERBY – A benefit dinner and dance for Evelyn Hays will be held Saturday at the Derby Tavern.
    Serving of grilled chicken dinners will begin at noon. Cornhole games and other activities will begin at 2 p.m.
    A raffle with items from Best Home Furnishing Chair, gift baskets and more will be held during the day. A band will provide entertainment starting at 9 p.m.
    Hays is battling cancer and proceeds will go to helping with medical expenses. The community is invited to come and show support.

  • PCMH Auxiliary fall gathering Friday

    TELL CITY – The Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will have its annual fall membership gathering Friday.
    The meeting will start at 9 a.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Breakfast will be served. Members and anyone interested is encouraged to take any family members or friends who would be interested in hearing more about the group.

  • Flu shot clinics next week

    TELL CITY – The offices of Drs. Marcrum, Bailey and Kleeman will host a flu-shot clinic Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
    Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with offices closed from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

  • VFD open house Sunday

    ST. MEINRAD – The St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire De-partment, in conjunction with the Early Days Antique Club, will host its annual open house Sunday.
    Chicken and pork-chop dinners will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with hamburgers, desserts and ice cream available during the day. Raffle chances will be sold during the day with a $1,000 first-place prize.
    A Life Flight helicopter will land next to the firehouse at 11 a.m. with a kiddie tractor pull sponsored by Heritage Hills FFA beginning at the same time.
