  • St. Meinrad to host first local band jam

    ST. MEINRAD – Inkspot Productions will present the first St. Meinrad Rocks band jam from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at the St. Meinrad Community Center.
    Those performing will include Travis Dillon, Silly Rules, Beau Troesch, Naked, The Hiding, Ronnie Troesch, Final Tour and 5th Degree Burn.
    Concessions will be available at the event and those attending are invited to take their snacks as well.
    Event T-shirts will be sold as well as merchandise from the individual bands.
    Cost is $10 per person and there will be no age requirements.

    TELL CITY – The Friends of the Tell City-Perry County Library will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library. All members are encouraged to attend.

  • PCMH annual bazaar set for Nov. 3

    TELL CITY – The Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3. This year, the group will hold a silent auction instead of a raffle.

    Several items are up for bid and include a decorated wreath, quilt rack, decorated sled, St. Andrews Scotland golf basket, a basket full of Christmas ornaments, a small Christmas tree and a Longaberger bowl with a pillar candle holder.

  • Seniors invite community to 50s dance

    TELL CITY – The William Tell Center in Tell City will host a 50s dance with Chester Bayer spinning the music from the 1950s era.
    The dance will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 21 at the center.
    Admission to the dance is $3 per person. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and milkshakes will be available for purchase.
    Anyone is invited to attend in 1950s attire. For more information, contact Ed Hoffman, president at 547-2714.

  • Troy FD fall soup sale, kids party

    TROY – The Troy Fire Department annual fall soup sale will be Nov. 6 at the Troy Firehouse.
    Serving will begin at 11 a.m. Those purchasing soup are asked to take gallon containers.
    Plans have also been made for the annual Troy Halloween party. Children can gather at the Troy Firehouse at 4 p.m. Oct. 30 for costume judging, games, treats and hay rides.

  • K of C bazaar set for Nov. 12 in Tell City

    TELL CITY – The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary will host its third annual arts, crafts and vendor Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at the K of C, 11th and Tell streets.
    Items on display will include homemade baked goods, crafts and candies, Christmas wreaths, Mia Bella gourmet candles, Pampered Chef, Party Lite, 31 Purses, Avon, Mary Kay and Tastefully Simple.
    The Auxiliary will also serve homemade chicken and dumplings, pies and cakes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Euchre games Saturday in Leopold
    LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will host euchre games Saturday at the clubhouse.
    Doors will open at 6 p.m. with games beginning at 7.
    Refreshments will be served.
