    LEOPOLD – The Perry Central Class of 1985 will have a 30-year class reunion meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 (today), at the Auction House on Main Street in Tell City.

    THE PERRY COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL Auxiliary Board will have its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, in Conference Room C at the hospital.

    THE LAFAYETTE SPRING CHAPTER of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 (today), at the Patio Steak. Guest speaker Marilyn Rhodes will present a program on Native American culture.     Twilight Towers to host Valentine’s dance
    TELL CITY – The Twilight Towers Tenant Council gathered Jan. 21, with President Joyce Richardt calling the meeting to order.

    The council elected the following officers for 2015: Joyce Richardt, president; Rosemary Kuntz, vice president; Pam Drake, secretary and Mary Stephens, treasurer.

    There will be a Valentine dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, in the dining room at 1648 10th St. in Tell City.

    Kidney health class scheduled for Tuesday

    TELL CITY – There will be a free Kidney Smart Education class from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Fifth Third Bank community room in Tell City. The class is free and open to anyone who has been diagnosed with kidney disease. Family members are also encouraged to attend.

  • Men’s Lenten breakfasts to begin Saturday, Feb. 21

    PERRY COUNTY – The Men’s Lenten Breakfast Fellowship Group of Perry County has finalized plans for its annual Lenten breakfasts.

    Cannelton United Church of Christ will host the first breakfast Saturday, Feb. 21. The breakfasts will continue each Saturday morning throughout the Lenten season from 7 to 8 a.m. Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the food.

  • Ladies Lenten prayer coffees scheduled

    PERRY COUNTY – The Ladies Lenten Prayer Coffees will begin Saturday, Feb. 21. All women and girls are invited to attend.

    There will be an offering taken at each session. At the final session, the group will decide which local charity will receive the offering.

    There will be light breakfast and a program at each session. All sessions will be from 9 to 10 a.m.

  • Relay For Life to meet Feb. 9

    TELL CITY – Relay For Life of Perry County will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the Tell City Moose Lodge. Committee members, team captains and survivors are welcome. Snacks will be provided and drinks may be purchased on site.

    THE DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, in the St. Paul Catholic Church parish hall. The committee for refreshments will be Rita Mahoney, Dorothy Malone, Edna Meunier, Judy Meunier and Alice Wittmer.     Purdue Glee Club show sold out
    LINCOLN CITY – Friday evening’s concert by the Purdue University Glee Club at Heritage Hills High School is sold out.

    There will not be tickets available at the door for the 6:30 p.m. event. Danny and Brenda Buechler, whose son, Clint, is a senior member of the club, will welcome concert goers to the school Friday.
    They said they are thankful for the support shown by the community.
