  • 10th annual Tri Kappa musical Nov. 9-11 at EUCC

    TELL CITY – The Epsilon Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa Inc. will present its 10th theater production Nov. 9-11 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. The production “Sister Amnesia’s Country Western Nunsense Jamboree” is one in a series of “Nunsense” musicals written by Dan Goggin.  Tri Kappa previously presented “Nunsense,” “Nuncrackers,” and “Nunsense II: The Second Coming.”

  • Church offers trunks of Halloween treats

    TELL CITY – The sixth annual Trunks of Treats will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Tell City.
    This event provides a safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating.
    All activity will be held in the east parking lot behind the church at Tenth and Mozart streets.
    Free hot dogs and drinks will be available to everyone.
    The church extends an invitation to the community to take their children for this evening of fun and fellowship.
    “Invite your friends and neighbors,” they urge.

  • SonShine rummage sale Nov 8 - 10

    NEW BOSTON – The SonShine Early Learning Ministry will host a rummage sale inside St. John’s Lutheran Church from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 and from 7 a.m. to noon Nov. 10.
    A free pair of shoes will be given with every purchase. Baked goods, including sugar-free pies, will be available.
    The group will have men’s, women’s, maternity, children’s and baby clothes, toys and much more, including cribs with mattresses and a barely used Intex pool. The sale will be inside, rain or shine.
    The church is located just west of New Boston.

  • Final audition for Nutcracker ballet Saturday at WTE

    PERRY COUNTY – The Tell City Regional Arts Association announces a partnership with the Children’s Center for Dance Education in Evansville to bring the “Nutcracker” ballet to Tell City.
    The performance will be held Nov. 30. Tickets will go on sale in early November.

    Youth Refuge Harvest Festival
    CANNELTON – The Youth Refuge will host a harvest festival from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the community room at Cannelton Cotton Mill Apartments.

  • Brown book signing set for Saturday

    TELL CITY – The Friends of the Perry County Library are having a book signing from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 20 at the Perry County Public Library Tell City Branch, 2328 Tell Street for Dianne (Greulich) Brown for her new book “The Cowgirl Princess and Starwalker.”

    Benefit for Randy Tanner Sunday
    TELL CITY – The family and friends of Randall “Randy” Tanner are planning a benefit dance from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club.
    This benefit is to raise funds to help his family cover the expenses the bills and expenses from Tanner’s illness.
    Lots of food and drinks will be available at the benefit dance. No alcohol will be permitted.
