TROY – St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy will have its annual fall festival Sunday, Sept. 11.
On the menu is the parish’s “famous soup” by the bowl and gallon, fried-chicken or roast-beef dinners, hamburgers, polish sausage, ice cream and homemade pie.
Entertainment will include a live band, a giant yard sale and flea market, games for adults and children and a raffle.
Serving begins at 11 a.m. Take your own container for carry-out soup.
 

TELL CITY – The Friends of the Tell City-Perry County Public Library will hold their annual book sale at the library, 2328 Tell St., from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
A special preview sale for Friends of the Library members only will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday. New memberships will be accepted before and during this special sale. Applications for membership are available at the library and on the library’s Web site, www.tcpclibrary.org. Annual dues are $5 for individuals and $10 for a family.

TELL CITY – Silly Safari’s “Amazon John” will visit the Tell City-Perry County Public Library Aug. 10 to present a patriotic show, “Yacky Doodle Dandy – All American Animals.”
Children will enjoy the “close-up connections” with Amazon John’s unusual critters and the stories that accompany each one, library staff said.
Parents and children are encouraged to arrive early for best seating.
The show begins at 6 p.m. and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

TELL CITY – The residents of 11th Street in Tell City will gather items for a street yard sale Friday and Saturday.
Sales will be set up from one end of 11th Street to the other. Everyone is welcome to shop the sales and all 11th Street residents are welcome to participate with their own sales.
