    4-H Club to meet Tuesday
    CANNELTON ­– The Community Service Innovations 4-H Club will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at its new location at Agape Community Church, 101 Taylor St. in Cannelton. Club President Carrie Kimbril will call the meeting to order. All members are encouraged to bring a friend. For more information, call Shawn at 547-3229.

    Euchre players filled eight tables at the Bristow Community Center Wednesday evening. Jim Sprinkle took first place with 92 points. Mike Elder finished in second place with 91 points, followed by Jerry Brown in third place with 86 points. Alan Goffinet and Vern Harpeneau tied for fourth place with 84 points each. Euchre is held at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the center.

    THE WILLIAM TELL CENTER will have its weekly dance at 7 p.m. Saturday at the center. The Sunshine Band will perform.

    Tell City Optimist annual chili supper Saturday
    TELL CITY– The Optimist Club Of Tell City will host its annual chili supper Saturday at the Tell City Junior-Senior High School cafeteria.  
    Serving will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. Cost is $7 and includes chili, a sandwich, drinks and homemade desserts. All proceeds support area youth programs.

    Euchre tourney Saturday at Leopold
    LEOPOLD – A euchre tourney is planned for Saturday at the Leopold Conservation Club. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the first hands dealt at 7. Refreshments will be available.

    Prom and bridal expo Sunday in Ferdinand
    FERDINAND – The 12th annual Ferdinand prom and bridal expo will be held from noon to 4 p.m. EST Sunday at the Ferdinand Community Center, 1710 Community Drive, in Ferdinand.

    BRISTOW – The Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District will host its 66th annual meeting Jan. 28, at the Bristow Community Center.

    The 6:30 p.m. meeting will begin with dinner, followed by a speaker and election of a district supervisor.

    ­Mu Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet Thursday at Evangelical United Church of Christ. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. with Carla Hunter, Kim Zellers, Carolyn Craddock and Connie Berger serving as hostesses.

    ­THE WILLIAM TELL CENTER will host its weekly dance at 7 p.m. Saturday. 3 For All Band will perform.

    Prom and bridal expo Jan. 12
    FERDINAND – The 12th annual Ferdinand prom and bridal expo will be held from noon to 4 p.m. EST Jan. 12 at the Ferdinand Community Center, 1710 Community Drive, in Ferdinand.

    The event will include various vendors, prizes, cakes and catered food samples and a fashion show provided by Cinderella’s.

    VFW to celebrate 80th anniversary
    TELL CITY – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the post with a dinner and dance Jan. 11 at the VFW Post in Tell City.

    Ladies’ and men’s auxiliary units and VFW members, along with their spouses, are invited to attend.

    TELL CITY – The Twilight Towers Quilt Raffle drawing will be New Year’s Eve. Tickets are $1 apiece or six for $5. Tickets are available from Joyce Richardt in Apt. 415 at Twilight Towers, 1648 10th St., Tell City.
