PERRY COUNTY – Catholic Charities is currently conducting its annual winter coat and blanket give-away.
If you or someone you know needs a winter coat, organizers ask they come to Catholic Charities for assistance.
Due to the generosity of local residents, the group has a very good supply of coats for all ages - small children through adults. There are also several blankets to choose from.
There is no charge for these items for anyone who needs a winter coat or blanket. Contact Catholic Charities at 547-0903 for more information.

HUNTINGBURG – A celebration-of-life cancer benefit will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 17 at Gaslight Pizza and Grill in Huntingburg for Tyler Cundiff.
Cundiff was diagnosed with leukemia in November. In an effort to ease the financial burdens and daily needs, his family and friends will host the benefit in his honor. The public is encouraged and invited to attend.
Cover charge is $7 per person. Those under the age of 21 will be allowed into the benefit until 10 p.m.
Live music will be provided by Silly Rules, Seahorse Bandits and more.
