    Holiday open house Dec. 19
    Perry County Chamber  of Commerce and the Perry County Development Corp. will host a holiday open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at 601 Main Steet.

    THE WILLIAM TELL CENTER will have a Christmas carry-in dinner and small gift exchange at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the center. The weekly dance begins at 7 p.m. Crosswinds will perform.

    BRISTOW COMMUNITY CENTER offers euchre  at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the center.

    TWILIGHT TOWERS offers bingo and euchre games in its dining room. Bingo games are held every Wednesday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and card games are held at 6 p.m. Thursdays and the first Monday of each month. The public is invited.

    AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 213 will hold its annual Christmas meeting and celebration at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post home in Tell City. Members should note the time change for the meeting and take finger foods to share.

    In place of a gift exchange, attendees are asked to take nonperishable food donations to be distributed locally to those in need. President Charlotte Lindauer will preside and encourages all members to attend the fun and festivities.

    TELL CITY – The Tell City After-Prom Committee will host a Reindeer Run 5-kilometer run-walk Dec. 7 starting at 8 a.m. at the Tell City Depot on Seventh Street.

    Golden Living bazaar Friday

    TELL CITY – Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills’ resident council is preparing for its annual Christmas bazaar. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the center.

    Crafts, new and slightly used items, candy and baked goods will be available for purchase.

    All proceeds will go to the resident council fund.  Residents decide how the money is spent.

  • Children’s caroling program coming to library

    TELL CITY – Perry County Public Library announces registration is now open for its children’s Christmas caroling program. Christmas caroling will begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 16  at the Tell City location.

    The program includes caroling, making “magic reindeer food” and refreshments of cookies and milk.

    Space is limited and certain to fill up, organizers said. To register for the Christmas caroling program, call the Tell City location at 547-2661.

    This program is best suited for children ages birth through third grade.
