PERRY COUNTY – There is still time for students in primary and secondary schools, both public and private in grades kindergarten through 12, to design a poster for the 24th annual River Sweep 2013.
Fifteen prizes will be awarded.  The grand prize is $500, and the school representing the grand prize winner will also receive an award.  A prize of $500 will be presented to the student with the winning design for the official River Sweep T-shirt.  Thirteen $50 prizes will be awarded to one winner at each grade level.

Derby cemetery meeting Nov. 29
DERBY – An informational meeting for St. Mary’s Cemetery in Derby will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at Derby Tavern.

TELL CITY – It’s time for the Daughters of Isabella Christmas raffle, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. Fundraisers such as the raffle are necessary so the group can help other charitable and nonprofit organizations, scholarships and school functions in the area.
D of I members will sell raffle tickets today, Friday and Saturday at Noble’s IGA and Cash Saver.

PERRY COUNTY – The Perry County Community Foundation will host its third annual Trivia Night Fundraiser this year, which offers light-hearted competition for know-it-all trivia junkies and some fun for those who simply enjoy supporting a good cause.
The event will be held Jan. 19 at the Schergens Center in Tell City. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The trivia game will begin at 7 p.m. Reservations are required to attend the event.
